~ Manta Dreaming ~

Secret currents within the swell,
where mighty heart, in cloak and veil,
within the shifting seas do dwell.
But secrets hidden, they won't tell.

Mystery princes, I call to thee.
Like sails of silk, the finest be.
And in my dreams they come to me,
dancers in black, glide thru the sea.

A vision, in waters of time.
Like the tinkling of windswept chime.
Souls beloved in ether rime.
The best of life, yes, tis the prime.

But wilst thou stay in dream of sleep,
where manta dancers drift in deep ?
Or will the day, in midnight creep,
where in my dreams the light will seep ?

Take me adrift thru rivers nigh,
in cloak of stranger, ever sly.
Throw off pretense and be not shy.
What lies in yonder blinkless eye ?

Hail to the day, he doth not take.
He lets me float and does not wake.
Gentle mantas in wombs own lake.
Rock me gently, my heart doth ache.

Swing on threads of the thinnest light.
Handsomest princes, prone to flight.
They have the way and have the might.
Now dance me to sleep, for comes the night.
